Changes to payment processing times (NAB only)

Accordingly to the Notice from National Bank, CheapCard would like to announce their changes to payment processing times as below:

"From 17 March 2007, internet banking funds transfers made to other peoples NAB accounts (not in your own account list) will be processed the next business day for customers without SMS payment security.

For example, a funds transfer to another person's NAB account made at 2pm on Wednesday will reach the recipient account by 2 pm on Thursday. Payments made after 10pm EST will be delayed a full day and credited the business day after.

This change will offer further protection for customers against fraud and help assist NAB to review and stop any fraudulent transactions.

This change does not affect: 
- Internet Banking access or viewing account info - Funds transfers between your own linked accounts and bill payments 
- Customers without the ability to transfer funds to other people's accounts (pay anyone)

You can continue to have these types of transfers processed immediately by using NAB's free SMS Payment Security service which provides a whole extra layer of protection so you can bank online with extra peace of mind.

The service works by instantly sending your mobile phone a unique security code via SMS to confirm your transaction. Just enter the code and you're done. So even if your ID and password fall into the wrong hands, funds cannot be transferred without your approval.
